Rikki Renard Exhibition

Gallery IS is pleased to once again be hosting a collection of work by our very own Rikki Renard.

"Euphoria" is a new collection of paintings by this up and coming Red Deer artist. She is going back to basics, and expressing her original artistic style. After spending a year, experimenting, and learning, she is taking these new skills and applying them in her unique way.

Rikki's paintings will still embody her Zen aesthetic, while portraying beauty, peacefullness and innocence in the simplicity of nature.

"Euphoria" will be on display from Feb 1st to 26th, 2011.
The opening reception is Frist Friday, Feb 4th from 6-9pm.
The Artist will be in attendance.
Everyone is welcome.

We hope to see many new, and familiar faces.

Please help us spread the word. Forward the link to our blog in your emails.

January at Gallery IS

Things are happening at the Gallery IS- we have First Friday tonight with a new show from Erika Schulz. She is keeping this show under raps so you will have to show up tonight to be among the first to see her latest artwork. I know you will not be disappointed by her account of sea creatures.

The Gallery is looking good with new work from several artists, including some new Abstract Pieces by Jeri Lynn Ing. Be the first to see these new works tonight at the opening- 6 until 9pm.

Summer Bugs and Bees by Rikki Renard will remind you of those warm and long days of summer. Small miniatures by Rikki are a teaser for her Solo show "Euphoria" coming in February 2011.

"I will be going back to basics with my original artistic style, portraying beauty, peacefullness and innocence in the simplicity of nature." Rikki Renard

Also for a limited time we have the leather works by Winnipeg Artist- Sigourney Burrell. She uses reclaimed leather and feathers together with reclaimed metals to created one of a kind- high fashion- neck pieces, cuffs and earrings. You will love this work.

We look forward to sharing with you some of Central Alberta's Finest Artist and their work.

First Friday -January 7, 2011

Of Patterns and Sea Creatures by Erika Schulz

Exhibit will run from January 7th to January 29th, 2011.
Opening Reception is First Friday, January 7th, from 6-9pm, Artist in Attendance

This exhibit is a new collection of works by Red Deer artist, Erika Schulz. These paintings are inspired by three of Erika's favorite things: Patterns, The Sea, and The Color Blue. Working from her miniatures as inspiration this show features work the artist created after experimenting and expanding on an idea she had while painting her 2009 One a Day challenge.

A little bit of Pop Art, Decorative Art and Design, as well as Illustration, make the series detailed, dynamic and a new part of Erika's evolution as an artist.

Please join us in welcoming the New Year and celebrating one of Central Alberta's Leading Artist's new body of work on Friday January 7, 2011.
