Open Studio Dec 7th & 8th

It has been a long time since I have blogged here! What's new, you ask? LOTS!

Since we closed the Gallery in 2011, Jeri-Lynn and I have been busy in our shared studio. We kept the space of the former Gallery IS and we are there practically everyday working away on our own personal projects. We dont open the doors to the public very often, but this weekend is one of the few exceptions.

December's First Friday will be an open house featuring our new works, and the work of visiting artists Susan Woolgar and Elizabeth Ferchuk. We also have some fabulous gold, silver, and copper jewellery with skeletonized leaves.

There is going to be a lot for sale, so be sure to come and say hi, and pic up that special gift for that special person.

Happy Holidays

January at Gallery IS

Things are happening at the Gallery IS- we have First Friday tonight with a new show from Erika Schulz. She is keeping this show under raps so you will have to show up tonight to be among the first to see her latest artwork. I know you will not be disappointed by her account of sea creatures.

The Gallery is looking good with new work from several artists, including some new Abstract Pieces by Jeri Lynn Ing. Be the first to see these new works tonight at the opening- 6 until 9pm.

Summer Bugs and Bees by Rikki Renard will remind you of those warm and long days of summer. Small miniatures by Rikki are a teaser for her Solo show "Euphoria" coming in February 2011.

"I will be going back to basics with my original artistic style, portraying beauty, peacefullness and innocence in the simplicity of nature." Rikki Renard

Also for a limited time we have the leather works by Winnipeg Artist- Sigourney Burrell. She uses reclaimed leather and feathers together with reclaimed metals to created one of a kind- high fashion- neck pieces, cuffs and earrings. You will love this work.

We look forward to sharing with you some of Central Alberta's Finest Artist and their work.
